VIVAnews - According to a recent study in England, had sex at least twice a week can reduce your risk of heart disease. This shows couples, especially men, who do have sex on the frequency of activity, the possibility of having a heart attack 45% less than men who have sex less than 2 times a week. This research has been conducted on more than 1,000 people, and the results show, sex has a protective effect on the heart of man. But unfortunately, this study did not examine whether there are benefits for women.
Based on this research, American researchers continue the investigation by examining with the doctor to check for active men who have sex and find out the impact for cardiovascular health.
Based on the findings, every year, approximately 270,000 people in the UK suffer a heart attack, and coronary heart disease was the cause of death in the country.
Although sex has long been regarded as a useful activity for physical and mental health, but there is little scientific evidence that shows that sex can also be beneficial to heart health.
This has been investigated in recent studies, by scientists at the New England Research Institute in Massachusetts, which tracks sexual activity of men aged 40 - 70 years who took part in the long-term project called the Massachusetts Male Aging Study, which began in 1987.
This study conducted a survey for 16 years, everyone was asked how often they had sex and then examined for signs of heart disease.
The researchers took into account other risk factors such as age, weight, blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
The results, published in the American Journal of Cardiology, showed people who have sex at least twice a week is much more likely to avoid heart disease than those who have sex with less frequency.
Men who have a desire regular sexual activity tend to have a healthy body. And, sex in some form of physical activity has a component that can directly serve to protect heart health.
